How wagering requirements actually work

Before looking at Fatpirate specifically, it helps to understand what you're agreeing to when you accept a casino bonus. A wagering requirement – sometimes called rollover or playthrough – is the number of times you must bet the bonus (or bonus plus deposit) before you can withdraw any winnings. A 35× requirement on a €100 bonus means €3,500 must pass through eligible games. Not every spin counts equally: slots typically contribute 100%, while live dealer games and video poker often contribute far less or nothing at all.

The requirement applies to the bonus amount and often the deposit as well. Fatpirate's deposit casino bonuses carry 35× wagering on the combined total of deposit and bonus. If you deposit €200 and receive a €200 bonus, the rollover applies to €400, meaning €14,000 must be wagered before withdrawal. Miss that detail and the maths goes wrong from the start.

Two more mechanics shape the real cost. First, a maximum bet limit while the bonus is active – Fatpirate sets this at €100 per spin or bet. Exceed it and the operator reserves the right to void winnings. Second, an expiry window: casino bonuses at this operator must be cleared within 10 days of receipt, sports bonuses within 30 days. Run out of time and everything tied to the bonus disappears, including any winnings derived from it.

The welcome package in plain numbers

Fatpirate offers a casino welcome package stated as 350% up to €16,000 plus 350 free spins. That headline figure spans multiple deposits rather than landing on the first one. The opening deposit bonus itself is 100% up to €200. The operator does not break down how the remaining value is distributed across subsequent deposits, so treat the €16,000 ceiling as the absolute maximum across the entire package, not a realistic target for most players.

Good to know: first-time sports bettors receive a separate 100% first deposit bonus on the sportsbook side. The two products run parallel welcome offers, and the terms differ between them. Mixing the two or assuming one set of conditions applies to both is a common mistake.

Offer Match Cap Wagering Expiry
First deposit (casino) 100% €200 ×35 (deposit + bonus) 10 days
Welcome package (casino) 350% €16,000 ×35 (deposit + bonus) 10 days per stage
First deposit (sports) 100% Not stated Not stated 30 days

No-deposit bonuses – whether bonus money or free spins – carry a ×40 wagering requirement. Maximum cashout from a no-deposit casino bonus is capped at five times the bonus amount received; for no-deposit free spins, winnings are capped at €80 regardless of how much you spin up. Deposit bonuses allow withdrawal of up to ten times the bonus amount. Everything above that ceiling is forfeited, even if wagering is complete.

What the operator runs regularly

Beyond the welcome package, Fatpirate publishes a rotation of reload bonuses and cashback offers, though the promotional copy presents conflicting figures for some of them. The weekend reload bonus is described in one place as €777 plus 77 free spins, and elsewhere as 50% with 50 free spins. The weekly casino reload appears as both 66 free spins and 50 free spins depending on which page you read. For sports, the weekly reload is listed as 55% up to €750 and also as a flat 50% bonus. Where two figures exist for the same offer, treat both as unreliable until you see the actual terms on your account.

The cashback structure is clearer. Daily cashback runs at 15% up to €400, available to VIP levels 2 through 5. The percentage and cap scale with your tier: VIP 2 receives 3% up to €100, VIP 5 gets the full 15% up to €400. Minimum cashback payout is €1, and the amount carries a ×1 wagering requirement – in other words, you can withdraw it after betting it once. Live cashback pays 25% up to €200 across all five VIP levels, with the same €1 minimum and ×1 rollover.

  • Sports cashback bonus: 10% up to €500
  • Accumulator boost: up to 100% added to multi-leg sports bets
  • Horse racing reload: 50% match
  • Bore draw stakeback: 100% of stake returned if a football match finishes 0–0
  • Early payout: settle a bet early if your football team leads by two or more goals

The operator also runs an internal currency system: players earn 1 Coin for every €10 wagered on casino games, plus 5% of each deposit credited as Coins. Accumulated Coins can be exchanged in the on-site Shop for bonus money, free spins or sports free bets. Shop bonus money carries ×40 wagering and a maximum cashout of five times the initial amount; shop bonus spins have the same ×40 requirement and a €50 cashout cap. Free bets purchased from the Shop must be rolled over three times at minimum odds of 2.10 per selection.

The conditions that quietly shrink what you can take out

Rollover is only half the picture. Several other terms limit what reaches your bank account, and most of them apply silently unless you read the full bonus policy.

Game exclusions and weightings. Slots (except those explicitly excluded), scratch cards and keno contribute 100% of every bet toward wagering. Live games, video poker and Plinko contribute 10%. All table and card games contribute nothing – play blackjack or roulette with bonus funds active and you make no progress toward clearing the requirement. A handful of games contribute 50%: Crazy Time, Dream Catcher, Monopoly Live. Another ten contribute 10%, including Double Roll and Spin Strike. Fifty-one named titles are excluded entirely and cannot be played while a bonus is active; hundreds more are prohibited from bonus play altogether, among them 10x Rewind, Scarab Treasure and Aztec Emerald.

Maximum cashout ceilings. For no-deposit bonuses, winnings are capped at five times the bonus received, or €80 for free spins. Deposit bonuses cap cashout at ten times the bonus amount. If you deposit €50, receive a €50 bonus and spin it up to €1,200, you can withdraw €500 – ten times the €50 bonus – and the operator keeps the rest. That cap applies even if you've cleared the full wagering requirement.

Voiding triggers. The operator reserves the right to cancel all winnings and void the bonus under several conditions: attempting to withdraw before wagering is met; placing individual bets over €100 while the bonus is active; using minimum-risk strategies such as covering most of the roulette table; moving from low-weighted games to high-weighted games immediately after a large win; switching from high-risk to low-risk betting after hitting a big payout; so-called "two-tier betting"; and delaying game rounds or bonus features until after wagering requirements are complete.

Who cannot claim these offers

Residents of six countries – Armenia, Tunisia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Indonesia, Georgia and Malaysia – are excluded from all promotions at Fatpirate, even if they can register and deposit. The operator's terms state this explicitly, so players from those jurisdictions will play without bonuses or with deposit funds only.

Beyond geographic restrictions, withdrawal behaviour affects eligibility. The operator enforces a minimum monthly wagering threshold of €20 across the calendar month in which you request a payout. Fall below that and the withdrawal may be declined outright. Additionally, deposited funds must be turned over at least once before withdrawal. If the amount wagered is less than the deposit, Fatpirate reserves the right to cancel winnings and retain a 10% commission (minimum €0.50) on the last deposit, or 15% if the deposit arrived via bank card or bank transfer.

A short worked example

Deposit €100, receive a 100% bonus (€100), giving you €200 to play with. Wagering is ×35 on deposit plus bonus, so €200 × 35 = €7,000 must be bet on eligible games. You play slots exclusively (100% contribution) and eventually clear the requirement, finishing with €850 in your account. Maximum cashout is ×10 the bonus, so €100 × 10 = €1,000. You're under that ceiling, meaning the full €850 is withdrawable. Subtract your original €100 deposit and your net win is €750, assuming no other terms apply.

Now assume the same scenario but you finish with €1,400 after wagering. The €1,000 cap applies, so €400 is forfeited. Your withdrawable balance is €1,000, and net profit after returning your deposit is €900. That forfeited €400 is gone regardless of how much you wagered or how legitimately you won it.

When declining the bonus makes sense

Bonuses extend playtime, but they also lock your balance under a set of restrictions that vanish the moment you play with your own money. If you prefer high-weighted games that contribute little or nothing toward rollover – live blackjack, for instance – a bonus becomes a hindrance rather than a benefit. The same applies if you want to withdraw quickly after a win: clearing ×35 wagering on a combined total can take hours or days, and the 10-day expiry is not as generous as it sounds once you account for session limits and game contribution rates.

The maximum cashout cap is the other reason to skip the offer. Deposit €200 with no bonus and any win is fully yours, subject only to withdrawal limits. Accept a €200 bonus and your maximum cashout becomes €2,000 – ten times the bonus – no matter how much you actually win. For players capable of turning €200 into €5,000, the bonus just cost them €3,000.

Worth remembering: you are not obliged to accept a bonus. Most operators, Fatpirate included, allow you to decline the offer during deposit or contact support to remove it from your account before you start playing. Once you place a bet with bonus funds active, the terms are locked in.

Responsible approach to promotional offers

Bonuses are designed to look larger than they are. A €16,000 maximum sounds generous until you realise it requires dozens of deposits and flawless adherence to a strict set of game and bet-size rules over weeks or months. Treat any offer as entertainment budget, not as a route to profit, and never deposit more than you can afford to lose in pursuit of clearing a wagering requirement. You must be 18 or over (18+) to participate in any gambling activity. If a bonus ever feels like an obligation rather than an option, it has stopped being fun – and that is the point to step back.
